  • Andrea Lane

    Architect BA Hons Dip Arch RIBA ARB

    DIRECTOR

    Andrea has a strong design-led approach to building complimented with strong technical skills and plenty of practical build experience, both renovation and new-build.

    Andrea graduated from the Mackintosh School in Glasgow and completed her architectural qualifications in London. Her experience covers residential, commercial, educational and zoological design, working at award-winning practices including Stirling Wilford,Grimshaw Associates and Proctor and Matthews Architects.

    Andrea became an RIBA Chartered Member in 2002. After many years in practice in London and France, she moved to Cornwall in 2014 where she worked with Stride Treglown and Lavigne Lonsdale before launching her own practice in 2018. Later setting up with Laura Battersby in 2024

  • Laura Battersby

    Architect BA Hons Dip Arch RIBA ARB

    DIRECTOR

    Laura started her career at Foster and Partners in London after studying at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow.

    After working with Foster and Partners she went on to work with Jamie Fobert Architects in London specialising in residential projects. She has over 20 years experience in architecture and has worked on a broad range of projects from art galleries to public buildings and bespoke houses.

    Laura set up her own practice in 2016 and has now joined together with Andrea Lane. Having collaborated on several projects Andrea and Laura joined forces to set up Studio Lane Battersby in 2024.

    Alongside her practice work Laura is Year 1 lead on the BA Architecture course at Falmouth University. She feels strongly about teaching the generations of architects to navigate the current climate challenges.

    Laura is a member of the Association for Environment Conscious Buildings. She is committed to working towards the RIBA 2030 climate challenge.
