Calvadnack - Barn Conversion Low Energy Home

Calvadnack Farm is the restoration and extension of a rural barn. The stone farm buildings will be sensitively restored and extended. The extension takes inspiration from local vernacular farm buildings so that it sits sensitively in it’s rural setting.

Sitting within a World Heritage Site , Calvadnack Farm required a thoughtful approach to it’s restoration and expansion. The new extension maintains a straightforward, barn like appearance using materials that complement the existing structure, such as corrugated metal and wood. The new extension will be built to Passiv Haus standards, ensuring it is a low carbon energy efficient build.
